Cyanide 2 [Shaper] by bram @ smartelectronix

VSTWinMacAudio Unit added 08/02/2003

Cyanide 2

Everytime you tweak the 'shaper' a table gets filled with data that is used for the waveshaping. To do this the midpoint-method is used on the B-spline to find a numerical approximation of the height at a given X-value...

The shaper now updates while you drag it, there's a preview, the filters are MUCH better and smooth, and there's some SERIOUS heavy-duty anti-aliasing. Oh, and you can control everything but the shaper via midi too...

SPITFISH [De-esser] by digitalfishphones

VSTWinMacAudio Unit added 06/02/2003

SPITFISH

SPITFISH is a dead-easy to use de-esser, aimed mainly at mono or stereo vocal tracks. Just like classic analog de-essers, this unit dynamically filters out harsh, annoying s-like sounds that would otherwise 'spit' in your face.

Part of the FISH FILLETS package...

Voxengo Tube Amp [Tube Amp Emulation] by Voxengo

VSTWin added 19/01/2003

Voxengo Tube Amp

This emulating tube distortion was designed to be used during mastering. The plugin can be used to add a tube-like warmness to any audio material... Drive setting controls internal tube threshold. The more the drive the more 'tubized' signal becomes. This is not a relative setting, so you will need to use different 'Drive' values for every production...

Voxengo EssEQ [Graphic Equalizer] by Voxengo

VSTWin added 18/01/2003

Voxengo EssEQ

"Fast and easy" 7-band digital graphic equalizer. It uses FIR filtering delivering a very nice-sounding linear-phase equalization. EssEQ uses 128 point filter kernel. This plug-in is very good at fast frequency balance adjustments...

LizzGRAPHIC [? Octave Graphic EQ] by Lizzaudio

VSTWin added 12/10/2002

LizzGRAPHIC

20 Band Graphic Equalizer with -15dB to +15dB gain in each band. The centre frequencies are : 25-32-50-64-100-128-200-250-400-500-800-1k-1k6-2k-3k2-4k-6k4-8k-12k8-16k...

LizzEQ [3-Band Parametric EQ] by Lizzaudio

VSTWin added 12/10/2002

LizzEQ

Parametric equalizer with 3 bands of independent control of Frequency, Quality Factor and Gain? featuring Lizzaudio's Shelf / Bell Transition Filters. Change from a shelf to a bell by passing gradually through all the intermediate frequency responses. LizzEQ comes also with a limiter in the output stage so you don't to have to worry about excessive signal. You can adjust the decay constant depending on signal's time characteristics...

Flotser [Feedback / Aliasing] by Ludothek

VSTWin added 20/04/2002

Flotser

A very simple but effective plugin for generating feedback / aliasing sounds. Parameters : buff = buffer size (max. 1200 samples), feedb = feedback, vol = volume, s_rate = sampling rate reduction...

Saturator [Analog Tape Saturation Emulator] by Jeff Rippe

VSTWin added 19/01/2002

Saturator

The Saturator is a plug-in that emulates the non-linear curve of analog tape in saturation. The Saturator can add up to 6dB of gain to the signal to push it into "overdrive" whereby soft clipping begins. When used properly the Saturator can add that "analog sound" to your tracks or can be used to boost low level signals giving them an "analog edge". For proper operation this plug-in must be used as an INSERT on channel or master outputs (the processor will produce no effect when used in effect mix mode)...

dfx eq sync [EQ] by Destroy FX

VSTWinMacAudio Unit added 03/12/2001

dfx eq sync

EQ Sync is a ridiculous equalizer. You have no control over the EQ curve, if you try to adjust the faders they will escape, & the EQ parameters don't make any sense anyway. The EQ setting changes on its own according to your song's tempo.

Excitifier [Harmonic Exciter] by Green Oak

VSTMac added 05/11/2001

Excitifier

An exciter works by adding upper harmonics. These are harmonics that are often lost in a mix, even though the individual tracks sound fine, so the exciter can be used to "un-muddy" a mix. This often works better than an eq to remedy this problem since if you simply boost high frequencies as an eq does, you can end up with excessive noise. In addition, this exciter includes a low frequency boost control. The result is that you can use this plugin as a quick way to achieve a popular type of eq mix...

Nolv TripleDist [3-band Distortion] by Nolv

DirectX added 05/11/2001

Nolv TripleDist

A three-band distortion plugin. The signal is divided into three frequency bands and a distortion is applied to each band. Note: This plugin does not support sampling frequencies below 44.1kHz...

iZotope Vinyl [Vinyl Simulator] by iZotope

VSTWinDirectXAudio Unit added 23/06/2002

iZotope Vinyl

The ultimate lo-fi weapon, it uses 64 bit processing and advanced filtering, modeling and resampling to create authentic "vinyl" simulation, as if the audio was a record being played on a record player. You have complete control over the following parameters : Electrical Noise, Wear Control, Dust, Scratch, Record Player Year, Stereo/Mono, Input and Output Gain...

THD [Analogue-Style Saturator] by Sascha Eversmeier

VSTWin added 01/04/2002

THD

Rather than a typical saturation software that you'll probably choose for some LoFi-style sounds, I was looking for something that sounded a bit like my old tube bass preamp that I sometimes use for processing vocals or drum samples. The plugin works fine when beeing inserted in a mixer track's signal path to act as a preamp stage. It smoothes out the transients, gives more overall gain and warms a bit. As always, trust your ears. It may sound good on some applications, but bad on others.

Spice [Distortion/Soft Clipping] by Thomas Rehaag

VSTWin added 05/11/2001

Spice

SPICE is a distortion/soft clipping PlugIn. Version 1.02 that works as a Master Effect is out now (6/98). You can still download 1.01, because it's got different sounds. 1.01 : Depth Mix Type (send only effect). 1.02 Preamp Depth Mix Type. Nice soft distortion.

VLogicDistortion [Low level bit-wise signal munching] by Vellocet

VSTWin added 05/11/2001

VFracDistort [Wave-shaping distortion] by Vellocet

VSTWin added 05/11/2001

VFracDistort

A simple wave shaping distortion filterParameters:Stuff (range) descriptionBoost - range [1,11], units: Soyuz. How much you are wanting of orbital volume. Knee - range [0,1], units: Yuri, master of the dance floor, all the cosmonauts they ask for more. Of which amplitude wave shaper kicks in . Hardness - range [0,1], units: Proton, mighty space rocket. Extent to which waveshaper flattens your signal post-knee.

RubyTube [Tube Amp Simulator] by Silverspike

VSTWinMac added 02/11/2001

RubyTube

RubyTube simulates the saturation effect that can be found in audio equipment with vacuum tubes. This effect is usually hardly noticable but it is responsible for the classic tube sound. Sometimes its just a sparkle on the voice and a slight compression of drums and bass that makes the difference between a neutral recording and a warm and full sounding song. Simulating tube sound with non-tube equipment is difficult but it is possible. RubyTube is not the first such simulator but compared to other tube simulators and distortion units, RubyTube has a very high resolution and a well-balanced spectrum of harmonic distortion.

NastyShaper [Distortion] by Big Tick

VSTWinMacBeOS added 23/06/2002

NastyShaper

Experimental waveshaping distortion. Pre and Post gain knobs. 3 different waveshaping functions. Shape 1 has 4 stages, Shapes 2/3 have 2 stages. 8x oversampling mode for high-quality offline rendering...
