Midi music is created from a set of numbers: duration, pitch, velocity, various effects, voices, selection of the bank ... and all these numbers are between 0 and 127. Software like Cubase or Cakewalk receives a series of numbers from a Midi file or from a Synth and displays and plays them as music. AutoGam also works with numbers. But you do not have to define each pitch, each instrument, each effect. In a graphic view you arrange some connected objects that possess each specific property. The objects are linked in a number of different ways and algos compose the title you want to compose. Composition is on-the-fly, each modification takes effect immediately, you can improvise and construct your composition during the execution of your work.

A multi-band resonant filter. This plug-in can offer some unique sounds, from slow and deep filter sweeps to the most savage tones with high resonance setting and heavy distortion. Everytime you tweak the 'shaper' a table gets filled with data that is used for the waveshaping. To do this the midpoint-method is used on the B-spline to find a numerical approximation of the height at a given X-value...

The shaper now updates while you drag it, there's a preview, the filters are MUCH better and smooth, and there's some SERIOUS heavy-duty anti-aliasing. Oh, and you can control everything but the shaper via midi too...

H2O is a simple compressor. Just like water, compressors are quite boring, but you can't live without them. Hence the name :). Just like all SmartElectronix plugins, H2O is capable of extreme settings... Input: input gain. Attack: compessor attack rate. Release: compressor release rate. Amount: amount of compression. Output: output gain. Saturate: if switched on, out of range samples will be saturated, if off, they will be clipped.

Bass Chorus is a full featured chorus / flanger (including thru-zero) with 4 modes, and an option to leave the bass frequencies of a signal alone - ie, only process the mids & treble. This lets you create huge, wide bass sounds without sacrificing punch and focus. It's ideal for electric guitar and synth bass, but sounds great on anything that needs a chorus or flanger...

PSP PianoVerb reproduces special kind of reverberation originally provided by piano strings. It generates reverberation using twelve string operators with adjustable damping and decay time. Each of them is tuned to a particular note starting from A(55Hz) to a G#(103.8Hz). The PSP PianoVerb string system can be transposed in the range of +-24 semitones, tuned within a range of +-100 cents and be detuned as well. Transposing to lower octaves produces a bigger and less resonant sound similar to traditional reverbs, while in turn transposing to higher octaves produces a very bright harp-like effect...

BLOCKFISH is a versatile compressor with countless ways to shape the incoming audio. Unlike many other digital compressors, BLOCKFISH has 'soul'. It likes to bite, but it can be tamed easily once you've learned how to use its potential. You can remove the front plate and make further adjustments on the circuit board. Everything is possible: clean, transparent, loud, punchy, silky, subtle, fat. But still with a unique sonic character.

AU303 is a toy AudioUnit, that acts like a cheap TB303.

You've got 16 patterns, each having 16 steps and can change the note and velocity for each step. You can also change the resonance, cutoff and decay of the filter.

Analog Box is a low level, circuit based, modular software synthesizer. You put sound objects on the screen, connect them together, listen and adjust. When you find something you like, you can record it to a wav file, or just save the circuit and play it again later.

ABox is somewhat like the vintage synth's of the '70's in that there are separate modules with lots of patch cords, knobs, buttons and displays. This emulating tube distortion was designed to be used during mastering. The plugin can be used to add a tube-like warmness to any audio material... Drive setting controls internal tube threshold. The more the drive the more 'tubized' signal becomes. This is not a relative setting, so you will need to use different 'Drive' values for every production...
